The following are 5 collaborative features/capabilities of Twitter

       1. News & Discover

The most powerful feature of twitter is the timing and availability of news. Everything is happening in real time, as it happens, and geography has no impact on access.  This is the ultimate in access features.  There are no time, place, person boundaries.  The ability to connect immediately with all updated news features is very powerful.

       2. Find people and popular sites

Twitter offers this feature to easily connect the account owner to new accounts that the owner might be interested in.  The suggested accounts are based on the owners account activity and who they have been following so it matches accounts to the likely desirability of the owner.

   3.  “Follow Me” buttons

Twitter account owners have the ability to add these buttons on to there account:  Share a link, Follow, Hashtag, Mention.  These allow buttons easily allow the owner to share content collaboratively and in an organized fashion.  I have add a mention button to my account so that I can keep track of information on twitter about me. 

4  4.  Widgets

The owner of the Twitter account has the ability to create a widget under their settings.  There are a number that are available and they allow a link between social media sites such as Facebook.  The is a website widget that allows your twitter profile to display on any website that allows the widget.  

5. Lists

Under the personal settings tab there is an ability to generate private or public lists.  Therefore when working with a particular group on individuals the ability to limit the audience of the material being tweeted exists.  This is very useful when discussing a particular topic.
