La Junta High School students bring Bent's Fort to the world.

These images are from the Article "La Junta students build virtual Bent's old Fort".  Twenty student's from La Junta Immersive Education club are working on a project to create a "virtual" historic site.  They have targeted Bent's Fort, a historic landmark in their area. They are using an on line program called Minecraft to begin the building of this virtual fort. They will then need to employ more sophisticated tools such as auto cad.  The greatest and coolest piece of this for the students are the tools that they use on line and the knowledge that anyone around the world can "walk" through Bent's fort.

This is an assignment from an Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Collaborative Computing. For details visit the immersive BC portal at:http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc
